microsoft office 2007 setup errors

hi

i was trying to install ms office 2007 when i got this message " setup couldn't find any product to install, contact your system administrator"

i am sure the setup file is not corrupted because I used the same CD to install it on other computer but it didn't work on mine.

does anyone have an idea about that ?

I have Vista Home Basic with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 installed via CD.
Have you entered the Product Key numbers correctly into popup box after loading CD ?
Have you previously installed and uninstalled Home Ofiice previously on your PC.Check installed programme list just incase there is a conflict there as any traces of previous installation should be removed. Start from scratch again.

No I haven't installed the Office before. my PC is new

This may sound daft, but have you loaded CD the right way up in tray.
After loading you should get an installation popup box prompting you to enter product key numbers. After doing that just follow simple instructions that appear in the blue installation window.
Other than that I don't know what else you could do.
Did you purchase Home Office as a new product from PC World or other retailer?

do you have the ms office cd

put the cd into the cd drive and open in the my computer tab than click on the setup .

run the setup completely follow the instructions.

after complete the installation click on finish restart the computer and use .

ms office is saved in the program files.

if you don't have the cd download the ms office 2007 from the internet and installed it.

uninstall your MS-office application with "revo" uninstaller. It will get rid of all entry of previous version of MS-Office form windows registry.
After that install it again.
