guitar recording
can anyone talk me through setting it up so that i can record what i play on guitar onto the computer?preferably without using the word soundcard because i dont get what they are and if i have one. recording software i already have, its just the actual connecting guitar to computer that i need help with.

Your soundcard is the "hub" of audio on your computer. You will see on the back of your computer the sockets into which your speakers will be plugged - this is the visible element of your soundcard. Alongside the speaker outputs should be another socket which is the INPUT - this is where you will need to connect your guitar - you may need a jackplug adaptor to convert the standard guitar jack to the correct size for the INPUT.
