Using the horn
Why are so many motorists so reluctant to use the horn? I use a B-road connecting a small village to a much larger one at least 3 times a day and I promise you that I am the ONLY one who ever uses the horn despite the fact that there are 9 blind corners as well as several other places where just a quick toot on the horn would have saved many accidents in the past as there are ten houses that have blind entrances. The number of accidents so far this year are well into double figures and the vast majority of these would have been prevented if the horn had been used. The speed limit for 90% of the road used to be 60 mph up until November last year before it was reduced to 30mph for its entire length; despite this vehicles still exceed the limit and I cannot for the life of me understand why people are so reluctant to use the horn.

Zacsmaster - I am an Advanced Motorist and have been since 1982 and agree with you about the sensible speed; however the majority of the drivers who use the road ignore the speed limit.
R1Geezer - at least you know there is a vehicle coming the other way, whereas I haven't got a clue that you are coming.
