Stubborn cystitus

Hey guys. I have had cystitus for 6 days now; it started to go and wad pretty much gone yesterday, but today it has flared back up again and its quite bad today. I am onm
my second set of cystitus powder and have been drinking cranberry juice. My doctor cant fit me in until tuesday.

That powder will only take some of the pain away it will not clear the infection. You need to ring your docs and get an emergency appointment for antibiotics. Cranberry juice just stops urine sticking inside the bladder to stop infection it is no good after you have got it.

yes water will flush it out better. And do not take any more powder I;m sure if you read the pack you are sposed to stop after one.

Awww Rosie thats so painful but as 4get says get those antibiotics before Tuesday cos youve had it so long, it can spread to the kidneys if left and THAT is painful.

Drink as many pints of water as you can and if you can take water with a half teaspoon of bircarbonate of soda in it every couple of hours it will help neutralise the acidity thats causing the burn, but get to the docs.

I hate it I;ve had it wtice now and second time I was in tears. If its persistant then probably best to go to docs any way to clear any infections you have got. x

be careful as mine developed into a severe kidney infection and i ended up in hospital............

been there ..had that. I have tried one thing which has worked and that is mannose-D, look it up on the net..it is "alternative" but it is the only thing that has worked. It's pricey but I know that you'll pay anything for it to stop. Even anti-biotics never worked for me and I used to get it 2 or 3 times a year. Try that and of course,keep drinking water,all day long!

Hi Rosiex, Like you I have had 6 days of bad cystitis did the same as you 2 lots of powders but this morning with easter upon us I thought that I had best go and see my Doctor. Took a Urine sample with me and I am glad I did as apparently there is a very nasty viral form of cystitis around that needs special treatment. So my sample has gone off for testing and he is going to phone me if it is the viiral form as it needs special medication. Meanwhile he has put me on a course of anti bacterial tablets to treat it if it is the normal type. He said it must never be ignored for too long or can cause kidney damage so please seek medical help today. Dont leave it until after Easter. It will be great to be cured as it was very painful.Insist or go to A&E.
