Bakewell is very nice to visit, a lovely riverside walk, lots of large trout can be seen in the river. The church (in which I married) has an unusual spire, and The Chatsworth Farm Shop at Pilsley is only 2-3 miles up the road, well worth a visit, their lamb, pork and beef is of exceptional quality, also behind the shop is a very good cafe. Lots of parking space.

Thankyou Prudentia, I got married in Bakewell too !!
I agree, it's luvly there, and Buxton. In fact most of Derbyshire is nice. Lived here all me life, apart from a spell abroad and in North Yorkshire.
