Is this the modern face of Islam, that Britain has been waiting for, or just a single voice in the wilderness?

This libel action is merely a squabble between muslims. It changes nothing.

This kind of thing happens all the time within all religions. A similar thing happen last week, but didn't involve muslims so didn't set off your radar. A Jewish peace activist sued the Jewish Chronicle for libel and won �30,000. That too changes nothing about that religion in this country.

I have always wondered why the women that are over here have not used our legal system to make a change against the sex discrimination they recieve from the Islamic men. They are the ones that could make a difference. It's them and thier children the cowardly scum hide behind all the time, it's them who are mutalated so they don't enjoy sex, they basically get the worst deal. If they stood up against the fanatics and taught the children to mix and itegrate, instead of letting the nutters brainwash them, we might have a chance of all living together.

Though I believe there are many Muslims who believe as this man does, in a more tolerant form of their religion, sadly, they are not as vocal or prominent as the more extremist and reactionary preachers. This harms Islam in the west, whether that really bothers Muslims, only they can say.

I think you're right Julnar, and the women who are here have been brainwashed to be subservient from a very early age, I think it would be very hard for them to go through our legal system to demonstrate their feelings, if they did they probably be excomunicated from there communities and shunned by their families, It would take a very brave section of these women to make a stand.
