Where can I obtain old furnishing fabric sample books and remnants either for nothing or at a reasonable price?

Yhe obvious place is a carpet or furniture shop. They often give away old books for next t nothing if not free. Bits of fabric can be obtained from a fabric shop such as a tailors or currtain shop. They often have small off-cuts which are often unuseable. Hope that helps.
