My dog has MINGING breath!

My dog is 15 years old and has a cancerous growth in her mouth.

I know that she is not long for this world and I will know when the "time is right" to let her go.

In the meantime, can anyone suggest a solution to her really bad breath, please? I've contemplated putting some sort of surgical solution or food flavouring (maybe peppermint?) in her water.

Any ideas?

Frankly,I doubt it SurreyGuy. I lost a 5 year old cat to oral cancer a little over a year ago...and she had the same problem. I suspect it is part of the growth itself., and the decay of the tissues. I think my cat had anti-biotics to help with that along with pain-killers.
Best of luck with your dog-I know how difficult it is. x

Thanks.

She's on a supplement for her bones, but it's just a case of taking each day as it comes.

It IS hard and it'll DESTROY me when she goes, but her well-being and quality of life is THE most important aspect of this.

Thanks again.
Sorry to hear about your girl, my friends dog had the same, but other problems contributed to her demise and not the growth.

You could try this gel, I can guarantee that it works for removing tartar and bad breath.

Hi jules

Her mouth is quite tender, so i was hoping to use something she could simply drink, but I'll look into it.

Thanks
If you use the spray you dont even have to touch the teeth or gums. With the gel, I put on with my finger, or you can mix in with a tad of peanut butter.

I think she's not long for this world now (she has deteriorated overnight), so I'll leave the poor luv in peace.

Thanks for all yr answers.
