..and came up with this weird question. Who of you, on a clear day, can see the horizon from where you live? I mean an actual, clearly delineated horizon: not just a vague disappearance of visibility. I can.

My view is of green hills with wind turbines with a farm at the top. But at work i'm in a porta cabin with no view :(

I haven't read all the continuous sh!te.

Anyway, the only time I see the horizon is occasionally when I'm in the park.

From my house you see terrace houses at the front and from the back it's gardens, garages and more houses. You're lucky if you even get to see stars around here.
