why is my computer only slow on when im on ebay ?

i have upraded recently to up to 10mbs cable broadband with virgin...its fast enough and ive no complaints but when im on ebay its very very slow,,sometimes taking 1 minute to turn a page,,when im on ebay i can hear the drive running and a kind of crackling noise in the backround ...cant really explain it .....

possibly what chuck says .... but could just be the cache that's turned sticky ... it happens sometimes
Here is how I cure it (there are a few ways - how depends which version of IE you are using)
in ie7
go to Tools | internet options | general
in general | delete - delete all temporary internet files
then go to
general | settings
tick the "every time I visit the web page"
and I like the "disk space to use" size of 599Mb
(but that's just me)
and now the predictable bit ....
you maybe won't see massive improvements - but it's worth doing
download/install/run
http://www.ccleaner.com/download
run chkdisk
and defrag all your drives
