Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

I am stuck on one (assuming that I have the other ones right!). 16d -R-E-E-Y (8 letters). Now a rare term for a place where plants are reared, kept or exhibited. GREENERY is the only word that seems to fit.

You're right - OED (Online) has -

greenery - ... A place where plants are reared, kept, or exhibited.

Thank you again Lie-in King. You seem to get everyone on the right path. I do this crossword for fun and I cannot remember the last time that I sent a completed grid to the Scotsman.

Thank you Tinkerpuss for your "ORANGERY" posted at 22:49 on 11 April. I thought of Orangery at one time but it would make a large part of my answers wrong. I am not conceited, it is just that they are in Chambers or Britannica, in the main.
Perhaps you have seen Lie-in King's answer which was posted at 21:27 on Saturday, where he gives the answer as "GREENERY". Usually the clue is taken from Chambers if it is a dictionary definition. I cannot get the free OED Online dictionary but I have a Chambers at home!
