Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

have you ever noticed that in spite of the very large population area of London only once in about every 2 years or so does anyone from the London area win!

Don't they ever open the London postbags? makes you think though. Here's hoping after 15 years of trying that this will be the week for a London win!

I have done the crossword since it started donkey's years ago and I have never won a thing. I do all four crosswords and you would think I might have won a little, but no. I live on the Wirral and none of my friends have ever won anything either.So London is luckier than the Wirral in that respect.

It is just pure luck if your entry is one of the first to be drawn "out of the bag". I have won second prize twice during a two month period from the same puzzle in a Sunday newspaper. Once there was a delay in receiving the prize so I rang up. Had a very interesting conversation during which I was told they get approx. 5,000 entries per week. Apparently they get someone to pick the winners by literally plunging their hand in a sack of entries. I was lucky to get chosen twice I know, but that won't stop me entering again.

The Midlands is a hot spot for winners in all crosswords - that's difficult to explain away - do they only open crosswords with that postmark!!

Why would there be a conspiracy for most winners to come from the Midlands? That is paranoia on your part. From what I was told, they pick entries from UNOPENED envelopes. That entry is checked and if it is all correct, then it is a winner. If not, it is discarded and another envelope picked out. Apart from the two I won in quick succession, I have won several small prizes, many times not for months and months at a time. I do not come from the Midlands, neither am I a conspiracy freak. Bit like Lotto or the Pools, some are lucky to win several times, some from the same area. Doesn't mean a thing though.
