Here is a link to the best site ever regarding cruising http://boards.cruisecritic.com/index.php - there is a section purely on P&O and if you scroll down there is a section on Ports of Call which will give you invaluable advise about what to do in each port. There is also a section called Roll Call where you can register and chat online with your fellow cruisers before boarding so you have ready-made friends when you board.

We did this cruise on Constellation in October 2008. On the whole the weather was very good. New York (Newark), warm and sunny, as was Portland Maine. Prince Edward Island cool and very WET. Quebec, over two days very warm and sunny so was Halifax. We went in the second half of October, the previous cruise had the misfortune to experience the tail end of one of the hurricanes.
