I was. Having watched all the events unfold on television from Hillsboro, Mrs Clarion said we should go and put some flowers on the pitch, as it was being allowed. I remember the sounds. The sounds of sadness, I called them. You could hear people sobbing. Peoples' feet shufling on the red shale track that surrounds the pitch. The rustling of the cellophane that was holding the floral tributes. The drone of the distant traffic. There was 2 young girls standing behind the goals at the Kop End, sobbing. There was hardly any flowers at that point. Ours was placed about 1 yard from the goal line. It simply said Wtih Deepset Sympathy from a Manchester family. I could see a Juventus scarf hanging from the goal net, a City scarf, a Rangers scarf. People were just too distraught for words. The crying, comforting each other. It must have been awful if you had lost a relative. Yep, I'm a Man U fan through and through. I want us to stuff Liverpool every time we play them. But it ends at that for me. I've never understood all the hate and bile that goes on. Do I hate Liverpool fans? What do you think?

Having being unable to get a ticket for this semi-final clash, I was left staring in disbelief at my TV Screen on that never to be forgotten day 20 years ago.It is something everyone wishes had never happened but also we must now never forget either, in memory of the 96 who lost their lives and every family that were affected badly by this.
Justice has so far not been done and until it is the families affected can never have 'closure'.
Thank you to everyone who genuinely cares irrespective of your Football loyalties!

i remember going to the local pub that night and witnessing a lot of upset people who knew of friends being there.
one day i will never forget...but yet there are still a lot of sick people who are out there and and never stop throwing this in the faces of l/pool supporters, and the same goes for the heysel stadium, and also the munich air crash.
some people just wont let sad events like these drop.
