transferring video tape to dvd

I have a very favourite exercise video tape that I would like to transfer to dvd. I do have a machine that can do this. However, when I tried it wouldn't work say it is 'copyright protected'. Is there any way around this as I would like to put it on dvd for my own use. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Some Videos has been protected ,so that we can't burn them to DVD.
But some software can help us,such us,Mac DVD Burner,which can burn Protected videos to DVD on Mac...
