Hi,

Due to my husband having put his back out, we are no longer able to decorate our bedroom ourselves (were supposed to do it over Easter). We are now looking to hire a decorator to do this for us.
I have no idea of a ball park cost that i should expect for this, having usually done the work ourselves.

The room is 3.5 x 4 metres and will need the ceiling and walls painting - there is a chimney breast which will be a contrast colour to the rest of the room.
can anyone help with a rough guess at how much I should expect to pay for this. I will probably paint the skirtings myself (unless it is more cost effective to have the decorator do it?!).
Help on this one appreciated!
Thank you!

We had a decorator come in last year and his rate was 120.00 a day plus any materials he used but we bought our own paint etc.
My decorator charges 85 per day plus materials. Your room sounds like 3 days work max.
