I think that it was a decision made for purely television reasons. Although I think that Sir Alan is a true, down to earth guy, he has shown in previous series that he likes people that put up a fight and Ben clearly does that even if his continual barrage of crap gets on his nerves. I think that it was unfair that Paula was fired as the whole task failed simply because the other dimwit with the restaurant doesn't know one essence from another.

Rob, I don't think Paula put herself forward to lead the team, I think Sir Alan chose the leaders this week as they were keeping in the background too much.

Most weeks to date these people can't grasp the concept of actually making money.
Some weeks they come out of a task with a pittance of profit, can you imagine having to share that as a wage between 6 or 8 team members?
The catering task was appalling for both teams, the restaurant owner served soggy tomatoes on baguettes and the other team stupidly dressed up etc when it would have been much easier to sell good sandwiches to tourists and workers on the streets of London.
How can they not see these simple facts???
