common assault
I am going to be reported for common assault. I work for the tube and I was on duty when a customer made allegation that i slapped and punched him and said he has a witness to the assault that thew police are beliveing. There is a video tape of the whole incident and it DID NOT show me any assault. Even the police have stated on tape during an interview that "they have watched the tape and there is nothing" I have a very good record at work and all me workmate are willing to give character references to the court.so what are my chances

Being summonsed is the normal way the Police deal with allegations of Common Assault. This is because it is not a serious enough offence to be arrested for.
If convicted, a person could be given a prison sentence not exceeding 6 months, or a fine, or both.
YOU know exactly what happened, I don't, and it will be up to the Court to decide, on the evidence presented, what the outcome will be.
