What a fraud
A man goes into a restaurant and asks, Gordon Ramsey, how do you prepare the chicken?"
"Its nothing special", he replies. "We just tell them straight out they're going to effin die!"
I must say that if I went to a Gordon Ramsey restaurant I would want to think that the meal was freshly prepared in the kitchen on the premises. What next? Gordon Ramsey authentic meals in supermarkets? Indeed yes! Have a look in the freezers in ASDA.
Anywhere selling 'cuisine-de-france' goods are all part baked. Delivered in a van, from frozen and just re-heated in an oven.
Rolls, cakes etc, and the Donuts are just defrosted. They are NOT baked on the premises at all...........................the biggest company using this scam is The Co-op believe it or not!!
kjc - Morrison's is the same. I wanted a particular loaf and they said they had run out of it, despite it being 'baked on premises' and having a shop full of flour and the other ingredients.
I don't think any of the supermarkets actually make bread or any baked goods from scratch in store.
The Morrison's in store butchers certainly does not butcher a whole carcass.
When you see a menu listing 20 or more main courses and the meals are served within 20 minutes or half an hour, it is obvious it is not cooked from fresh.
i used to work next to a cuisine de france warehouse, it was great when they had open days as we used to get a load of freebies, but yep all cooked alsewhere frozen and delviered to store to be heated
