Parking at the 02 Arena (millenium dome)

A similar question has been asked before but not for months so here goes: I know that to pre-book parking at the o2 for an arena event (we're going to see Santana) costs �20. I see that you can park in car park 4 for only �5 and there's an NCP at Greenwich North station - but you can't pre-book either of these. Does anyone have recent experience of parking on an event night without pre-booking? How fast do these car parks fill up?

Hiya Tom, I don't have personal experience but if you're a bit concerned why don't you go early enough so that if it's really busy you have enough time to say park a tube stop away and get the tube back to North Greenwich?

if you park in the o2 car park,look forward to at least a hour to get out of them.park a few stops away and get the tube in

I live 3 miles away and have no problem using those car parks even when concerts are on it has never taken more than about 15 minutes to leave and have always got a space maybe I was just lucky? There is a big shopping centre up the road about 10 minutes walk where B&Q - Sainsburys and the cinema are which is free and called Greenwich Penninsula and is off A2

North Greenwich tube car park is �6 until midnight but you cant park there before 11am - Car Park 2 is �5 for 24 hours - I am a local and use those car parks all the time so those prices are right - left car this week over night in CP2 and it was �10 - NCP is always expensive -

parked at the o2 for the second time last night.
1st time was "cirque du soliel" so quite a large event.was marshalled to �20 parking and didnt know any better.
last night was russell brand.16000 ppl.was again marshalled to �20 parking but told the guy that we were there for a meal and he redirected us to carpark 2.we parked from 5.30 to 11 and it cost �6.had no trouble finding a space and it took no time to get out at the end.
the marshalls dont know what youre there for..say youre going to zizzi or the chinese buffet-or just go to carpark 2 first off..
