First time I've attempted these crosswords, so unfamiliar with person setting-any help appreciated.

11a - fossil. F(financier) + loss +i

Many thanks for your help. It will help me get the down clues! Find this crossword hard going!
2d - evades. 2 ways, south and east = se + dave(David Cameron) reversed.
14a - Hillary(Clinton). prince Harry minus r(right) around ill(off-colour)
8a priVates (organs / private parts) . . . .

priMates = churchmen
replace M(edieval) with V(ersus) / against
8a (not 8d) privates (primates with m replaced by v)

Many thanks everyone for answers & explanations. Will really have to tax my brain to work out answers in any further Private Eye crosswords. Think I've got all answers now, but might ask for further help!
