why is the digital signal slightly delayed, for example when listening to an analogue radio in the living room and a digital radio in the kitchen, why does the sound come through at slightly different times?

because if the time it takes to encode it into a digital signal before it's transmitted and then decode it again when it's received.

ChuckFickens is quite right, and I know that the BBC amongst other broadcasters have a problem with this, it doesn't matter to most of us but some people or organisations rely on dead accurate time checks and on BBC radio the time signal (PIPS) are always 2-3 seconds later on digital than they are on analogue

This happens with my tv 's .When watching deal or no deal especially when going from room to dining room I know if they dealt before I get my foot in dining room then they tell me again .Can you make sense of that lol . I always wondered why so now I know Thanks
