Hi did anone update their tom tom 1 or 2 to 3. Dod you have to pay for the upgrade or wa sit free. some sites seem to say there were different things. I am about to purchase tom tom 3 with a pda but the new version 5 is out in a few months and some say it might be free as it is so close. thanks

It depends when they set their dates for allowing a free upgrade. When I went from 2 to 3 I had to pay an upgrade charge (�30 or �40 ish). If I had purchased version 2 three days after I actually did it would have been a free upgrade.
