At risk of being tagged a grumpy old man, I am getting more and more disgusted with those who abuse this site and wonder if others feel the same. One regular predator submits a weekly shopping list with no indication of which SE crossword, no letters and VERY abbreviated clues. Five so far today. Even the ever-helpful and affable L-i-K has asked for co-operation several times; to no avail. Surely, anyone who treats this well-run, user-friendly site with such contempt and disrespect does not deserve any help. Feel better now but will anything change?

I am afraid all we can do is to keep asking for the said clues and/or letters and a star rating would not go amiss but perhaps that is too much to ask .g.

Not very likely, as several others beside Lie-in-King have requested very politely for those posting questions in Q&P and Crosswords to provide name of X-Word or puzzle, the full clue, number of letters, and any letters already found. So far no change. Often there is no acknowledgement of answers either. It can be very aggravating when people are willing to help.

I usually just ignore any questions posted in that fashion.

If nobody answered then maybe somebody would take the hint.

I agree with Rollo - and when you notice one copy the request at the top of the page in the answer box. that way the guilty person thinks he has an answer.
Also if yu notice a new post from he/she leap in to say they are blackballed and with the reason so decent friendly types don't give the answer.

Oh I do so agree, I don't ask for help, just scroll through looking for answers previously given and it is so frustrating when no clue numbers etc., are given....makes me cross!!

I totally agree with everyone! Never get the chance to answer anything because there's always someone on the ball and quicker than me but look every week at the answers and get so cross with the so called predators looking for a quick fix. LAZY. RUDE.
Ignore them please or do the posting thing that Goofy suggested.

Is it me or are these people completely devoid of general knowledge and/or research skills? Perhaps if GK answers at least were to point people towards Google and then they could find out for themselves...

Point taken, Shawnee but they are not my parameters. They are those of the site. If one joins a club, for example, then surely one respects and abides by the rules.
