90s kids show, its driving me mad! help?!

Basically, I was a kid growing up in the 90s and on CBBC i vaguely remember a show of which litte long nosed pink creatures lived on the moon, and had foil cars and squeaked endlessly as communication. I know this wasn't made in the 90s, looked like it was from the Mr Ben era maybe, but I'm not sure and it's driving me bloody mad! What the hell was it called?! Help!

Clangers. I have a toy one sitting on my desk as we speak. Drives everyone nuts when I press it's belly and it does the clanger sqeak.
