Logitech mouse

HI I have a Logitech mouse for my laptop, which came with it's own disc . it worked on my XP laptop but doesn't work on Vista laptop. My problem is getting it to work all the time properly. Any suggestions please? my laptop doesn't recognise the disc but has found a driver compatible with it. (ALPs pointing device.) I only changed the batteries on Monday & changed them again today .Can anyone help me.Thanks genny

there is no problem with the battery , because the mouse is working in the xp computer .
download the driver from the internet which are compatible with the vista.
after that installed the vista driver in the computer and the mouse will work.
if you have the mouse driver disk than installed the driver in the vista laptop.
it will work.
