any one know what this means and how do you stop it popping up in internet explorer

if it's always on the same websites then it's an error with the java they are using on that website and nothing you can do about it.

if it's on all websites then try reinstalling IE

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/ getitnow.mspx

use the link at the bottom under the drop down menu, don't install IE8!
