how can you be allergic to water when the human body (on average) is 50% water. wouldn't that make them alelrgic to themselves?

The last time he went swimming, about 8 years ago, he sneezed for 7 hours. After that he decided not to try it again.
That time the dr gave him an inhaler to stop the sneezeing and he was allergic to that and came out in a rash!!!
(It's not funny lol).
