I've become hooked on this television series - if nothing else just to hear the accents of the fishermen .
Does anyone else admire their courage in doing the job they do , in this society of ours , in order that Joe Bloggs can have his fishy /crustacean supper ?
Apparently it is one of the most dangerous jobs - i'm not suprised when you see the size of some of the trawlers fishing in the North sea .
Haven't seen the series but there was a trawlerman in my ward when I was in hospital recently. It does sound like dangerous work with an early start and long hours. Like the miners of yesterday, they support society doing hard work in a key industry.
