I once read somewhere, that if a person had a statue made on horseback, and the horse was stood on all four legs, then the person had died a natural death, but if the horse had it's front legs raised, then the person had been killed in battle. Does anyone know if this is true or not?
At " Mansion House " in the city of London there is a statue of a man on a horse.
If you look you will find that there are no stirrups.
Legend has it that the scuptor upon realising his mistake topped himself.
