Lung Cancer
3 Answers
My mum has just been diagnosed Lung Cancer at the age of 53. She has smoked all her life but is extremely active and healthy (minus the smoking) for her age. All we know so far is that it hasn't spread anywhere but that she will have to have chemo. She is yet to see the specialist on Thursday. I'm so scared for her and am only 19 can't imagine my life without her. Is it likely to be terminal? I feel like I don't know anything. x

Here is a site with lots and lots of info.

My MiL has lung cancer, but it has spread to the bones. It is terminal for her but she's much older than your mum. She went through an awful lot of tests, biopsys, lung washes, CTs etc. It took 3 months to get the final dx. She has had radiotherapy only as a form of pain killing treatment.
You're going to have to be a very strong young lady.
Best Wishes and God Strength.
