I live on my own and wash down my toilet, cistern and sink every morning. I usually use Flash with bleach or Cif when I have it. However I find every single night there is always soap scum on top of cistern and the sink has it always as well although when I wash my hands I usually clean with with a cloth. Am I using wrong cleaner. Bathroom cleaner is not much difference. Thanks for any replies.

why don';t you use a multi purpose anti-bacterial spray cleaner? It is alot better and does not leave any residue. You could also use the bleach blocks in the cistern or toilet bowl that would do the job for you whilst you are not around, but i do sense that it is a very important part of your daily routine and you are striving to make the best job you can of it. Is this the only area of your domestic chores that concern you, or do you sometimes have anxious thoughts about other aspects of your daily tasks? It might be that if you tend to over emphasise the small things in life and put unreasonable importance on them, you are perhaps tending towards a slight compulsive form of behavior that you may want to rationalise and analyse the underlying issue . I apologise if my response sounds abit hurtful, but I am just wondering if you feel that there is maybe a step back from your reality that you may need to be taking. No offence intended.

you're right dotty - not well at all NOT - I have an aversion to toilets so therefore am scrupulous with my own. Since i have diverticulitis I need to wash the toilet at 3 times a day and I have been bad this past 3 weeks. Last Sat I could not leave the house to get to the pharmacy to get anti diarrhoea until about 4.00 by then I had washed the toilet about 4 times and 3 showers. No OCD but genuine.
