Asians & British broadcasting

Why are so many news reporters & presenters on British TV now of Indian or Pakistani origin? I'd estimate they make up at least 60% of them. If they're hired partly to represent our diverse nation, surely that's well over the average. Word is the BBC are about to appoint a Muslim as Head of its Religion & Ethics department. The deputy is already a Sikh. Is it fair to suggest Asians are rapidly taking over British broadcasting and, if so, why?

because I cant understand what they are saying sometimes and its not good for teaching our young people how to speak the English language.

Because all the top jobs and positions are being held by foreigners the people who work for them are also from the indigenous races. Have you ever known a Pakistani to employ someone not of his ilk unless its for cleaning duties?

Here is a list of the BBC News staff and their biographies. Your 60% estimate is hugely wrong. Perhaps it is simply because you dislike Asians, that you over estimate their presence on television.

It was referring to the whole of British TV not just the BBC.
