bissell 7920

I recently purchased a Bissell carpet cleaner 7920. When pressing the trigger it is not spraying water onto the carpet as it should. It does however spray out of the turbo handwash.

Can anyone help to solve the problem?

I have a bissell carpet cleaner but I think its a different one to yours. Is it an upright model that holds a tank with cleaning solution and another to collect the dirty water?  It is possible from my experience that these tanks are not 'sitting' properly so take them off and put them back on again and hopefully this will work. hope this helps.  ps/ when you get it going it is a brilliant cleaner and you'll be surprised how much dirt comes out out your carpets!
