2. I cannot get any foreign currency because the lady in the travel agent says I could be money laundering and need a passport and a proof of address!!!
3. My new cable company need to credit check me to see if I am suitable to buy their product!!!!

1. She is only responsible for the scratch marks down the side LOL
2. OK fair point but why do they need to know where I live?
3. I live abroard for years and had never had anything on HP, etc - no debts, no nothing - yet when I got back to the UK with a "clean sheet" so to speak I couldn't get credit. Apparently even bad credit is better than none!!!!

I think I'll join the Gurkhas after my PMT week in a show of solidarity for "The hard done by of Britain" LOL

And ... I'm on a roll at the moment ... I will be opening a savings account for my 5 year old this weekend - I wonder what hoops she will have to jump through to prove that she is worthy!!!

My head hurts now!

The laughable thing is that my son works in the branch that I am going to and lives in the same house and I will still have to prove who I am ... LOL
I can top that.

My wife couldn't put credit on her mobile phone because I bought it and it was registerred to me

OK I called the (colourful) company and asked if they'd register it to her instead

No problem.

Wait! - If you do that and I then ask you to put some money on it will you say No it's not registerred to you any more.

Uh yes

Ok put money on it then register it to her.

Duh OK
Anyone can put credit on a mobile. Just get a voucher.
tell you one better ,son went into the dss and asked about his money, they told him to phone in and there was a free phone in the corner,so he did and the lady he just spoke to answered the phone.
I once wanted to DEPOSIT 4,500 into a bank. I had to have a passport and a driving license to do so. As i hadn't been on holiday so didn't have a current passport and nor was i a driver, i couldn't do it. My birth certificate was not proof enough.

I gave up in the end and put my money in a building society account which was simple.
SLINKY - I think your one tops the lot - ha ha ha
