A 45-minute tape shows a man that the Government of Abu Dhabi has acknowledged is Sheikh Issa bin Zayed al-Nahyan one of 22 royal brothers of the UAE President and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince mercilessly and repeatedly beating a man with a cattle prod and a nailed board, burning his genitals and driving his Mercedes over him several times. He is assisted by a uniformed policeman.

In Bush's last week in office, he concluded a deal with these people to supply the technology to built Nuclear power stations.

No!

This is pretty standard stuff in Islamic states, not sure where the prophet would stand on this sort of thing.
We shouldn't be dealing with them at all, but money speaks louder than human rights
Its futile trying to put the clock back as though nuclear had not been discovered. Many countries besides ourselves have joined the nuclear club notably North Korea, Iran, and Pakistan each with dissidents powerful enough to blow the world to smithereens. The Saudis are said to be allies of the West so cutting them out of the nuclear loop would only harm ourselves. Torture is not new to the US or the UK so getting on our high horses and preaching others how to behave is a non starter. Better to put the subject in the hands of a lowly official to make complaints.
Possibly the biggest mass murderer we've dealt with was good old uncle Joe Stalin during WW2, and he was responsible for liquidating millions upon millions of people.

So perhaps we shouldn't be too holier-than-thou.
And don't forget that the only country that used nukes so far is USA. So don't take that for granted either.

Second thing is that in the whole middles east all these people are not only ignored but also encouraged to do what they want to do by USA. Why the West is not interested in democratically elected people there? Is that because democratically elected may not work for the USA as these do?
