I'm currently thinking of buying a Volkswagen Passat 2.0 Sport TDI 5dr DIESEL ESTATE (2006) with 115,000 miles on the clock. Can someone please advise as to what sort of questions I should ask with regard to service history, I'm assuming it'll be due a major service at 120,000 miles?

I agree with Daren. Cambelt will need replacing at 120,000mls. It cost me nearly 400 at a VW garage.
Factor that into the price you pay.
115.000 its not a lot with cars providing the cars has a good serviced History, Was the car off a private seller? what was their work? where they builders? the point I am making is in reference to the rear suspension, has it had a tow bar fitted if you cannot see, check in the boot in the spare wheel well for bolt holes, check under the car for the same, on that sort of mileage clutch, has it been replaced? If you do decide to bye the car ask them for a detailed Invoice of what has been done. check you tyres + spare.
