help with table
3 Answers
this might not be the right place but here goes anyway - my coffee table is made from soft oak. I need to sand the top of it down as its become a bit stained from kids crayons and coffee mugs. What treatment would I use to cover the surface to protect it and match the colour up? (i assume it will be lighter when i sand the top layer). Any Ideas?? (its not varnished and I don't want it to be).

We prefer unvarnished furniture too, so use Briwax Medium Brown Wax. You can buy it in several shades of brown from Wilkinsons. We use it on our antique pine furniture up stairs & on our oak & sheesham wooden furniture downstairs. It's brilliant stuff.
