In the mid- to late 1990s there was a short-lived TV comedy series, along the lines of Bread/Father Ted, set mainly in the kitchen of a farmhouse in Ireland and with its mad-arsed family & neighbours. It was on for about a month, probably on C4. Does anyone remember this, and what it was called? What happened to it? Just curious...

I remember it. I'm sure the name was just the name of the family, 'The O'Reillys' or whatever. Basically it was an attempt to cash in on the popularity of Father Ted, but unlike the brilliant Ted, it was '*******' rubbish.

hmm, the word f  + Eckin g was edited, which spoilt the reference, and made me look more foul mouthed than I intended to be.

It was the Fitz. One series, never repeated, but it did have enough good moments to bear repeated viewing, which I occasionally do.
