Please can you pray for Max, the 3 year old son of friends of mine who fell in the pool unnoticed yesterday and was under water for 5 minutes. He is currently on a ventilator in hospital and awaiting a brain scan at 2pm (South African time) after which his parents will decide what to do.
He and his parents need to be held up in prayer at this time.
hi everyone - yesterday Max was up and down. He took a turn for the worse at 1am yesterday but by yesterday evening had had a blood transfusion and his blood pressure had stabilized. He is still unconscious and is on the ventilator but the oxygen content has been reduced to 35%.
So far he appears to be hanging in there - will keep you posted....
Max is no longer responsive to light or pain. His pupils are fixed and dilated. 2 neurologists will be examining him later today and his parents will then make a decision as to what to do when they have all the information. He is unable to breathe at all without the ventilator.
Please continue to hold his parents up in prayer at this very difficult time.
Deepest sympathy to Stan and Tracy, also yourself. Will continue to pray for you all. How difficult it must have been to decide to donate little Max's organs. I hope it will be a comfort (eventually) for Stan and Tracy to know that part of their precious boy lives on in the lives of other little children. Thinking of you all. Schutz.
Dear Shan, I am so sorry, and having prayed for him for so long, I am deeply saddened.
Let this tragedy strengthen your faith as you lean on God for support in this difficult time.
We do ourselves no favours by limiting God to this life, when a wonderful future of promise exists, and the grave is not the end.
Thank you for posting and sharing, and I hope and pray that the parents and family will be comforted by the knowledge of Gods' love.
