How long does it take itunes to take payment

I was just wondering if anyone knew how long it takes itunes to charge my bank account after i buy an application for my ipod touch?
I bought an application yesterday and another today, but they havent been paied for yet.

P.s - Does anyone know what the �1.58 charge is? It says there is a �1 for authorcating reasons or somthing like that, but whats the 58p?

I haven't bought apps,but have bought lots of I-Tunes. It usually is "requisitioned" by your Bank Acccount or Card straightaway, but only actually goes about 3-4 days later. The money is in effect "frozen" till then.

I agree with poorsolver that 3 to 4 days is the average,
However,in my personal experience I have had such payments charged as quickly as 2 hours,and as slowly as 7 days.
It really depends on itunes bank and yours.

PS:~
I think the �1.00 charge is just to "hold" the charge "open",but is not charged when the actual amount goes through.I have had this several times,it's a sort of token amount until the actual goods are charged to your account.
I don't know what the 58p is,it might be part of the �1.00 business,or could it be postage(if there is any).
