Whenever I brush or rub my 13 year old cross breed dog's chest or tummy her back leg twitches, does anyone know why this is happening, it's only started over the last couple of weeks. TIA.

Hi Masma. I'm surprised you've only just noticed this, as most dogs and cats back leg/or legs twitch when their chest or tummy is rubbed or brushed. It's a bit like when humans are tickled, and it's usually nothing to be worried about. If you are worried and it seems unusual to you, the best thing would be to let your vet have a look at your dog. Best wishes. Schutz.

Thanks for your quick reply - she's never done this before so maybe I will mention it to her vet when we go.
