anonymous emails

A friend of mine has been receiving non threatening anonymous emails. She is thinking of reporting it to the police. Would they do anything seeing as the emails are more of a nuisance than anything.

What kind of e.mails are they?

Could she block the sender or notify the e.mail host of the sender (eg yahoo, gmail)?

If it's problematic and continuing then she could ask the police for advice and have it noted if there is any kind of offence being commited like harassment, any threats start etc...

The emails are just nusiance ones implying they know something.

Nothing will happen. People get tons of spam every day. Just delete them.
