Didn't watch the selection programme for our Eurovision entry this year as it involved Andrew Lloyd Webber and I just don't like the man.
Tonight on the National Lottery the girl who is to represent us this year sang the song and well, what can I say, oh yes, it was rubbish.
If this song gets any points at all then it must be because the other countries are feeling very sorry for us.
What do you think of it?

It's many a long year since the quality of the song deemed whether it scored points or not. But I agree this one is a dirge with null point written all over it
The whole audition/selection thing was odd from what I remember I dont know why I was watching, must have been drunk or bed bound at the time. There were a number of hopefuls (soloists and groups) short-listed for the live sign off and then a couple of episodes later she just appeared from nowhere and won. Anyhow, her singing after winning has to go down as one of the most cringe-worthy blood curdling embarrassingly disturbing pieces of recent tv history. That and Deirde Barlow kissing Ken on national TV.
Then inviting him to come up and scrub her back!!! urrggghhh!

Not sure how we went from Eurovision to Corrie but I might as well get my pennyworth in and say, Ken, how could you give up the love of someone who is the female equivelent (sp) of yourself for a life with Dreary?
Yes and talking of dreary, its how I find the song, I dont like it either.

(can you see what I did there!!)
I totally disagree that "it was rubbish", she sings it beautifully, but of course the reason we will once more get "null point" is because of the eastern European cartel voting for one another.
Indeed, which is exactly why Terry Wogan gave up on it.
just as well as we can't afford to win it.....

Yes Ankou I saw what you did,and I agree.
I also agree with paraffin about the East European Countries but I can't agree this song was sung beautifully,it's just my opinion but I really don't like the song or the way it was sung, sorry.
