I got on a bus to get home from work today but I was forced to get off as I ended up getting abuse by a woman whose child I told to "stop it" as she was trying to shove past me. The bus was packed and this woman nearly had her finger in my face whilst pointing at me and giving me verbal. Another person pulled my headphones out of my ear and I shouted at the driver 5 times to let me off the bus. There were loads of kids on the bus laughing at me.

When I got off the bus I just walked around the station (West Croydon bus station) shaking and nearly in tears. there was no one at the information desk so I was walking around aimlessly. I came across a transport policeman patrolling the station and explained the situation and gave me details about making a complaint and that it would have been caught on CCTV.

I am still feeling angry and upset now. People around here are so rude, aggressive, ignorant and spiteful.

I'm going to talk to my manager about re-issuing a parking permit which was taken away from me 2 years ago. I CAN'T TAKE MUCH MORE OF THIS!

Seriously Whiffs I'm not very good on a bike. The last time I was on one I fell off and it put me off. I used to walk home from Lunar House and it would take me roughly 50 mins to do so. I live near Spa Hill and from checking out route-finder its nearly 4 miles.

The thing is I had to get home quick this evening to get some things done but yes I could have walked and saved myself the grief that I got.

Lol CD, you always make me smile me dear x
tiggs,
just remember not to take this personally! This time 'you' were their victim. You stood up for yourself & because you challenged them you were met with abuse. I really dont know what the answer is. How do bus companys expect people to travel with them when we're left open to this??

Hi Cazzz, I can't wait to get my parking permit.
Question Author
I don't know either Sachs. It is sad that this is a trend in major cities like Cazzz says.

Well, I'm off to Rochford in Essex to see my bf on Wednesday so it will be nice to get away for a few days. There is lots of greenary and decent people there. And there is less riff raff there.
Well if you're smiling a wee bit then I'm taking that as a good nights work. Chin up.

I am trying to crack a smile thanks to your efforts CD. Actually I'm feeling quite tired now. Anger and other emotions do take it out of you I guess.

Emotions are horribly tiring and best avoided at all costs in my experience... as soon as I learn how to control them totally I'll let you know!

Have a glass of plonk, get your PJs on, find somethng you like on the goggle box and put your feet up for a bit.

I don't have any plonk in the house CD. I'm sort of teetotal (apart from the sneaky rum and coke I had last Friday).

I've got some horlicks so I might curl up with that and a film later (after I've done the housework :o( ).

Hi Steve, there is too much aggression these days.

I've calmed down a bit now. You have ALL cheered me up. Thank you xxx
It's very difficult Tiggs. Children generally these days are not in awe of adults. I don't know if this a good thing or not but it does make an adults life very very difficult. They (children) don't understand the difficulties of making your way in the world today. You have to try and put it behind you. You know your worth, try to look at the positives. Yes there are some rude aggressive ignorant and spiteful people, but there are also a lot of loving, caring, helpful and downright wonderful people. Keep your chin up, believe in yourself and good luck.
Question Author
There are indeed lovely people around just like you dimple xxx :o)
You can't blame the kids - they are following the example set by the parents. The mother in this case was worse than the child.

Hope you feel better now Tiggerblue and I hope the green faced body part eating monster visits the mother - really give her something to shout about

Enjoy your horlicks
I think I live in a bubble.....

Question Author
