Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Can some help pleasae. I have the theme, the 5 clues containing extra words (therefore the extra help), have discovered the name of the author and have 11 of the 12 words to be altered. I am stuck on the 12th, with two clues to get, 5 across and 5 down.

5a Swindle college servant at Cambridge (3), either ??G or G??

5d Safe cards played in bridge (5), either ??TER or RET??

(one of these answers has to be reversed, unless I've gone wrong somewhere else).

5 across is reversed and 5 down not. Both are straight double meaning clues albeit to obscure meanings in one case (5d) and a realtively obscure word in the other (5a).

Sorry for the delay, but having great difficulties getting into Answerbank since 8pm. Thanks for your help. When I had first letter of 5 across (G) and knowing they were double meanings, I was able to work them out with the help of a thesaurus and Chambers. Never heard of either word in both contexts. Thanks again.
