I think if a person had a skin test done first, then it'd be fine, but if your skin's very sensitive, it can cause blistering or burning, sometimes with discolouration of the skin.
I have had laser hair removal done and am still attending every few months to zap all the remaining hairs.
It is brilliant. After three sessions my hair growth on my face and neck diminished by about 60-70%.
I could stop getting it done now and the growth is minimal but I want to get all the little, troublesome hairs.
Try it - but go to a good salon because, as Ice.Maiden says, it can cause some serious problems if your skin is sensitive.
Good Luck.

Yup, having IPL done now and its worked very well. Its different to laser somehow but i forget how. Also not everyone's treatment will give the same results. Bare in mind that even when your treatment is over (mines 5 appointments + 1 for free as a package deal) you may need to go in every so often for a touch up. You;re also not allowed to do anything to the treated area 4 weeks prior to your first treatment. Then you're not allowed to do anything but shave a few times in between your treatments.
And as the other posts have said make sure you go to someone who knows what they are doing. Maybe go for a consultation first and they should explain all the details behind the treatment. Make sure they give you a patch test first to see how your skin reacts to the treatment too.
But all in all i think its been worth the money i paid. I don't need to worry about shaving as often. Its great!
