Not so. The number of posts that could be combined would have a very minor effect. The slowness is caused by the sheer number of database accesses, and in the main be a simple reflection of the number of concurrent users. Most of these users will not be posting at all, but simply viewing existing answers (as was the case with me this weekend).

It is an Answerbank so people need to feel free to post their questions on here ;-) Also, Google is not the only search engine or the best. There are many + far better to not always use the same one anyhow- variety is the spice of life. Prefer Yahoo + Alta Vista as search engines. Hopefully today AB will be quicker + full of lovely posters ;-) Never forget to enjoy some sunshine or fresh air either, ciao for now, Bea :-)
