Im a natural blonde, but about 2 months ago i changed my hair to dark red. well recently i tried to highlight my hair......which always worked in the past, but this time, it turned orange. Is there anything i can do, i dont want to dye it again. Since the orange isnt that bad, could the shampoo for blondes take the orange out

I think the shampoos are supposed to keep the blonde colour strong, not necessarily get rid of that colour..  (but correct me if I'm wrong)  If I was you, I'd go to the hairdresser and see what they can do for you - that might be your best bet.

I once bleached my hair to pure white (yes i know complete fashion faux par, won't ever do that again). My hairdressers sold me a shampoo by Aveda that is especially for blonde hair and keeping it blonde. It takes out any yellow/orange hue. But I don't know if it would be strong enough to deal with your case. But it's worth a try

Red is quite hard to "bleach out". It sounds like the mix wasn't strong enough; was it a ready made highlighting kit?  You can get this lighter still but you would probably need to do a bleach bath; (get hairdresser to do this) or if you don't mind the orange, highlight it again but only use a 6% or 20 vol peroxide with powder bleach (don't buy the shop one again)  and do not leave on for longer than 20 mins or so. Just check it throughout the development process.  You won't need anything stronger as you hair has almost "got there" but needs a little longer. If you get a stronger peroxide you are likely to overbleach and then it will break off or just be very, very brittle.
