I have just discovered that I am to be left some money in a friends Will. Should I let them know by thanking them or pretend that I don't know? What is the right thing to do please?

If you have "discovered" then I wouldn't mention it. If they told you then thank them but add the proviso that you don't want it for a long time yet !
